Kate and Leo on Film

Kate and her new horse, Leo, on film.  Leo is really a dog trapped in a dog's body - he yearns for attention 24/7 and likes to lick people.  Basically the best horse EVER.  I want him and I will secretly steal him one day (slash not really).  But once I hit the lotto, he's mine.

And saving the best for last...

Equestrian on Film Preview

If you haven't noticed, I prefer film 100000 times more than digital.  It's something about the colors that you just cannot replicate with digital (you can come close but you can't match it).  I received my film scans today so I'm showing a "film preview" of my equestrian shoot from the weekend.

Fall weather + Aspen the puppy

I'll have a travel post up tomorrow but I couldn't resist a few throwback Aspen puppy pictures in fall weather.

A few travel deals I spotted on my search today:

BWI - PHX (Phoenix) - $235 a/i, Nov 2 - 4/6/7
BWI - PVG (Shanghai) - $776, dates in Jan and Feb.  This is right during the Chinese New Year festivities, which would be an awesome site to see.  Don't forget the visa costs will add on another ~$150 but this is still a CHEAP deal and you get ~15,000 miles (close to the lowest elite status on most airlines).  They had the same fare leaving CHO but it dried up.

First roll of film

The good, the bad, and the ugly.  All unedited and with answers to digital/film comparison post below.

This is Kodak 400 ultramax (the only film available at my local CVS) and I developed it at Walgreens (since I'm learning for now!).  Sadly, because I messed up unloading the film, all of my Carter Mountain Orchard pictures were ruined.

Film on the left.

Film on the right.

Film on the left.  And now the ugly (or odd?!)...
