I decided to stay with blogger over switching to Zenfolio.  I wasn't entirely in love with the website, although I thought it was an improvement over this site.   I hope to upgrade to a better site one day!  Until then, enjoy pictures of Aspen's first birthday party in the UVA Gardens.  I'll update this blog with pictures I posted to Zenfolio (that are not on here) this weekend.  Cheers!

Carter Mountain Apple Orchard

...a few shots from our visit to Carter Mountain Apple Orchard.  Their apple donuts and cider are OUT OF THIS WORLD.  I've been visiting since childhood (conveniently sits nears my high school).  However, this visit was a bit different with the screeching sounds of cicadas surrounding the property.  Apparently southern Albemarle is experiencing the cicada season far worse then central and northern Albemarle so far.  Despite these hideous bugs, I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Aspen and Roy, Half Siblings!

While Michael and I were walking Aspen to get Chinese food, we ran into another golden puppy, Roy, who's 10 months old.  From talking to Roy's owners, we learned that they had the same dad, Quiz of Delmarva Goldens.  Small world!  Can you see any similarities?
